Alejandro Fernandez follows on El Grito night with his daughter Camila opening
Published August 19, 2026
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority laid out the city’s Mexican Independence programming on August 12, and the shape of it is clear. The weekend of September 11 through 13 carries almost everything, then the calendar goes quiet for a day before Alejandro Fernandez plays El Grito night on Tuesday, September 15. The Las Vegas Latin shows calendar covers the bookable end of it.
Alejandro Fernandez plays MGM Grand Garden Arena on El Grito night
Alejandro Fernandez brings the De Rey A Rey Tour to MGM Grand Garden Arena on Tuesday, September 15, at 9 p.m. His daughter Camila Fernandez opens. The tour is billed as a tribute to his late father, Vicente Fernandez, who died in 2021, so the set is built largely on another man’s catalog performed by his son on the most symbolic night of the Mexican calendar.
Two days earlier, Vicente’s grandson Alex Fernandez closes SAHARA Las Vegas’s four-night Mexican Independence run on Sunday, September 13, at 8 p.m. SAHARA bills it as his first Las Vegas show. Elias Medina opens the run on September 10 and 11, and Trio Los Panchos plays September 12. Between the Sunday and the Tuesday, Vicente’s son and both of his grandchildren appear on Strip stages inside three days.
Friday September 11 is the arena night
The arenas carry the Friday. MANA play T-Mobile Arena, and Banda MS return to MGM Grand Garden Arena with a guest appearance by Xavi. Marc Anthony opens a five-date BleauLive Theater run at Fontainebleau that also covers September 12, 13, 18 and 19. Marco Antonio Solis, Gabriel Iglesias, Felipe Esparza and Matute all begin two-night runs that carry into Saturday. Carin Leon, separately, headlines Sphere across seven dates from September 4 through 13.
Saturday September 12 moves into the showrooms
Saturday spreads out instead of concentrating. Zoe plays The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, Grupo Duelo takes House of Blues, and Jose Maria Napoleon extends his farewell tour to the Pearl at Palms. Los Angeles Azules tickets start at $64 for the Cumbia Sin Fronteras Tour at PH Live inside Planet Hollywood, which is the most reasonably priced of the Saturday headline bills.
Comedy runs alongside all of it. Iglesias adds his second night at The Chelsea, Esparza plays the Aces of Comedy lineup at MGM Grand Theater, and Teo Gonzalez and Jorge Falcon tickets start at $70 for their joint show at The Palazzo Theatre. Eight separate bills sit on that Saturday, which makes it the night where choosing actually costs you something.
Sunday September 13 is the night with room left
Sunday is the quieter of the three and the easier one to book late. Los Tucanes de Tijuana play PH Live, Soda Stereo bring the ECOS Tour to Dolby Live at Park MGM, Palomazo Norteno returns to MGM Grand Garden Arena with the Clase Maestra Tour, and Yolanda del Rio plays the Pearl. Alex Fernandez closes Fiesta Mexicana at SAHARA the same evening. Soda Stereo starts at $69 on Spotlight.
Zoe, Los Tucanes and Soda Stereo are on sale now
El Grito falls midweek this year, which splits the celebration between a loaded weekend and a single Tuesday arena night. Carlos Santana’s House of Blues residency then runs September 16 through 27. Live dates and current prices sit on each show page, so you can confirm the night before you commit to it.
