Life Burns Faster Brings 24 No-Repeat Weekend Shows to the Strip Starting October 1
Metallica opens Life Burns Faster, their first Sphere Las Vegas residency, with a 24-show run starting October 1, 2026. The production runs through March 2027 in No Repeat Weekend clusters, meaning each weekend visit delivers a different setlist and different visuals on the Sphere’s interior LED canvas. It is one of the highest-volume rock bookings the venue has hosted since opening.

For fans already tracking Las Vegas concert residencies for a fall trip, October opens with one of the most technically ambitious rock shows ever staged.
What “No Repeat Weekends” Means for Fans
The No Repeat Weekends format means Metallica will not play the same set twice across consecutive shows in a given cluster. Attend Friday and Saturday of the same weekend and you see two different shows with different visuals. The band has committed to this format for the full run, which incentivizes multiple visits and rewards fans who book more than one night.
The Snake Pit VIP section places a limited number of general admission floor tickets directly in front of the stage, inside the main floor barrier. These sell separately from standard seats and go fast on any artist at Sphere. If the Snake Pit is a priority, check availability before the rest of the floor sells and prices push higher on resale.
Why Sphere Works for a Band Like Metallica
Sphere Las Vegas is a 17,500-seat venue built around a 160,000-square-foot interior LED display that wraps the full ceiling and walls. For a band with Metallica’s production history, three decades of custom lighting rigs, stage pyrotechnics, and synchronized visuals, the format is a natural fit. Sphere eliminates the gap between the stage and the back row. Every seat experiences the same immersive environment.
Life Burns Faster joins a short list of artists who have designed a full Sphere experience from scratch rather than adapting an existing tour. The show is built for the venue.
Dates and Ticket Options
The 24-show run opens October 1 and runs through March 2027 in weekend clusters, with shows in October, November, January, February, and March. Metallica is also offering a Full House package for fans who want to attend every show in the run. Individual show tickets go on sale through Sphere directly.
For other live music on the Las Vegas Strip in the same fall window, Spotlight carries a full calendar of concert residencies playing through the end of the year.
Planning Around the Show
October and November are high-traffic months in Las Vegas, and Metallica’s run puts Sphere at the center of the fall entertainment calendar. The venue sits at the Venetian Resort on the east end of the Strip, within walking distance of several other residencies and hotels. If you are building multiple show nights into the same trip, the broader Las Vegas show tickets calendar on Spotlight covers what else is playing the Strip that week.
