Six Raccoon City Zones and a Survival-Horror Menu Open Through August 30

Published July 13, 2026

Universal Horror Unleashed just turned its year-round haunt at AREA15 into Raccoon City. Starting July 9 and running through August 30, the attraction is running a Resident Evil takeover built around six story-driven zones, and it is included with regular General Admission. If you already had an AREA15 night on your Vegas itinerary, this is the reason to go this summer instead of waiting for fall.

Six Zones, One Outbreak

The takeover moves guests through the T-Virus outbreak in order. Zone 1 drops you at a battered “Welcome to Raccoon City” sign as police scramble to contain the spread. Zone 2 sends you into the Raccoon City Police Department for a run of interactive puzzles, and Zone 3 pushes you into the infected quarantine zone, complete with familiar faces like Ada Wong. Zone 4 is where Claire Redfield, Jill Valentine, and Leon S. Kennedy show up for full combat sequences, and Zone 5 is the final escape. Survivors land in Zone 6, an Umbrella Corporation-themed bar and restaurant serving T-Virus-inspired food like the Jill Sandwich and a cocktail called The Umbrella. It is a fitting way to mark the franchise’s 30th anniversary. Spotlight covers a wide range of Las Vegas attraction tickets if you want to build out the rest of an AREA15 night.

If Horror Isn’t Your Speed

AREA15 packs several different experiences into one complex, and Universal Horror Unleashed is only the scariest of them. A few doors down, Omega Mart tickets get you into Meow Wolf’s psychedelic fake grocery store, which trades zombies for secret rooms and interactive art and is a better fit for families or anyone chasing immersive weirdness without the jump scares. Meanwhile, if you’re looking to trade earthly weirdness for deep-space exploration, Interstellar Arc delivers a breathtaking, cosmic journey right on the same campus. With all these options under one roof, you can pick a night based on exactly how much adrenaline or awe you want rather than working around a single schedule.

What This Means for Your Vegas Trip

AREA15 sits about a mile and a half off the Strip near the Rio, so budget extra time for the drive or rideshare if you are staying on Las Vegas Boulevard. Pair a Resident Evil run with a full Vegas show that same night rather than treating AREA15 as the whole evening. Spotlight tracks current pricing and availability across the Las Vegas shows lineup, which is the fastest way to see what is actually on sale for whatever night you are in town. Book ahead for peak summer weekends since a licensed franchise takeover like this tends to pull crowds who would otherwise wait for Halloween season.

Book Your AREA15 Night Through Spotlight

Resident Evil at Universal Horror Unleashed runs through August 30, so there is still time to work it into a summer trip. Round out the night with a show off the Strip’s main lineup and you have a full Vegas evening built around one AREA15 stop.
