Fontainebleau’s Oasis Ice Rink Opens November 19 With Skating From $30
Published November 6, 2026
The Oasis Ice Rink returns to Fontainebleau Las Vegas on Thursday, November 19, turning the resort’s third-floor pool deck into real ice for the winter. Walking in costs nothing. Skating starts at $30 plus taxes and fees, and it is the largest real ice rink on the Strip.
When The Ice Is Open
Hours run 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. most nights, then stretch much later over the holidays. Thanksgiving week and the run from December 19 through December 30 go to 2 p.m. to 2 a.m., so a late session is possible on those dates and not on the others. Opening weekend for the race is the exception in the other direction, running 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. from November 19 through 22. For a backup on the nights the rink is packed, what else is playing that week covers the shows running across your dates.
Tuesday nights bring films to the rink through late December, with showings at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. The deck also carries holiday cabanas, communal fire pits and seasonal food and drink, which is what turns an hour on the ice into a full evening.
What It Costs To Skate
Entry to the rink area is free, so you can watch without paying. The ice is the paid part. Standard skating runs from $30 plus taxes and fees, and Nevada locals pay from $15 on select dates and late-night sessions. Those discounted windows are not spelled out in the general announcement, so residents should check which dates qualify before booking.
Fire pit rentals start at $200 for up to six guests, with larger cabana tiers above that, and the rink itself can be bought out for a holiday party.
Pair The Rink With A Winter Show
The rink sits outdoors on an open pool deck, so the sensible plan is to skate first and move inside as the temperature drops. Debbie Gibson’s Winterlicious show covers four dates at The STRAT Theater in December, five performances in all, with a holiday set mixing Christmas standards with her own catalogue. It runs 90 minutes and is open to ages 5 and up.
That pairing works because the two sit a short ride apart, and the show gives the evening an indoor second half rather than ending it out on a cold pool deck.
Dress For An Open Pool Deck
This is real ice on an uncovered deck, and November and December evenings in Las Vegas cool off quickly once the sun drops. Layers matter more than they do at an indoor rink, and gloves are worth packing.
Book the extended late sessions only on the dates that actually run to 2 a.m., and check the rink’s own page before you go, because hours shift by date right through the season.
Build The Rest Of The Trip Around It
The rink is one evening, not the whole trip. Once the skating is set, Las Vegas concerts in December fills the nights around it, and the theaters and the pool deck sit on the same side of the Strip. Compare what is playing on your dates, check the seat maps, and book before the holiday weeks tighten up.
