Band adds four December shows, extending its record Sphere residency to 68 total concerts

Published July 7, 2026

The Eagles are staying at Sphere even longer. The classic rock band added four new December dates, Dec. 4, 5, 11, and 12, bringing its total run at the venue to 68 shows, the longest residency in Sphere’s history. The extension comes after the band’s existing 2026 dates sold out fast, a sign of just how much demand still exists for the show’s wraparound visuals and immersive sound. If you are planning a Vegas trip around live music this year, the Eagles are not the only game in town.

What the New Eagles Dates Mean

The Eagles announced the new dates Tuesday, citing overwhelming demand for its Eagles – Live in Concert at Sphere residency. The four additional shows, Dec. 4, 5, 11, and 12, join previously scheduled dates on Sept. 18-19, Nov. 13-14, and Nov. 27-28, pushing the residency to a record 68 total performances since it began in September 2024.

Tickets start at $175 and go on sale July 17 at 10 a.m., with presale access opening July 15 for fans who register in advance. The show uses Sphere’s wraparound LED display and immersive sound system, the same combination that earned the band comparisons to nothing else on the Strip from critics at USA Today and Billboard. It is one of dozens of Las Vegas concerts happening this year, most without a five-figure demand curve attached.

Cheaper Ways to Catch Vegas Rock Royalty

If $175 Eagles tickets are out of budget, or the July 17 on-sale disappears before you get through, Vegas still has plenty of classic rock without the wait. Petty and the Heartshakers, a tribute act built around Tom Petty’s catalog, plays The Orleans Hotel and Casino with tickets starting at $51. Led ZepAgain, a Led Zeppelin tribute also at The Orleans, starts at $55. Neither replicates Sphere’s wraparound screen and sound system, but both scratch the same classic rock itch for a fraction of the price and without a presale scramble.

These sit alongside dozens of other Las Vegas music shows running nightly on the Strip and off it, from tribute acts to headliners with their own long-running residencies. Booking ahead means you land a seat instead of hoping one opens up.

What This Means for Your Vegas Trip

Sphere’s calendar fills up fast, and the Eagles’ new dates will likely follow the same pattern as September and November did. If you already have Vegas dates locked in around a big residency, pencil in a second show for the trip. Comedy, magic, and production shows across the Strip run most nights, so you can build a two-show weekend without competing for the same limited inventory.

Check Las Vegas shows happening tonight once you land, since availability shifts daily and same-day seats often open up as other plans change. Pairing an early show with a late residency means you are not stuck waiting around the Strip between sets.
